在1848年美国第一届妇女权利大会，即塞内卡福尔斯会议上，伊丽莎白·卡迪·斯坦顿宣读了《情感宣言》。该宣言清单包括12项决议，呼吁女性在道德、经济和政治上获得平等地位，其中最激进的是要求“选举权”。

《情感宣言》成为了美国第一届妇女权利大会议程的基础。

1920年8月18日，美国宪法第19条修正案获得批准，赋予妇女投票权。

#U.S. women’s right to vote turns 100 - the “Declaration of Sentiments”

At the Seneca Falls Convention in 1848, the first women's rights convention in the U.S., Elizabeth Cady Stanton read the “Declaration of Sentiments." The list included 12 resolutions calling for the moral, economic and political equality of women, the most radical of which demanded “the elective franchise.”

The Declaration of Sentiments became the foundation of the agenda for the nation's first women's rights convention.

On August 18, 1920, the 19th amendment to the U.S. Constitution was ratified, granting women the right to vote.
