这世上的事儿还真说不准，干我们这行的尤其深谙其道。这不新来的销售小王前几天谈了个大合同之后就一直洋洋自得地到处晃荡，结果老板看不下去了，甩给他一句：

Don't count your chickens before they hatch，their acceptance of the contract is still open to doubt.

相信老铁们都已经知道这个“Don't count your chickens before they hatch 小鸡孵出之后才算数”就是“别高兴得太早”的意思，但后面这半句里的“open to doubt”大家可能会迷惑了，难道是"打开疑惑"吗？呵呵，意思差不多，但更为准确的译法是“有待商榷”, 也就是我们平时常说的“拿不准、仍是未知数”，以后如果当你有什么事儿拿不准的时候用上这句就完美了！所以刚才老板那句是在说“不要过早乐观，他们是否接受这份合同还说不准呢。” 另外还有一个短语“be in doubt”也是同一个意思，用哪个完全看各人的习惯了。
