According to Article 22 of the law of the people's Republic of China on the administration of exit and entry, aliens may be exempted from visas under any of the following circumstances:

根据《中华人民共和国出境入境管理法》第二十二条规定，外国人有下列情形之一的，可以免办签证：

(1)According to the mutual visa exemption agreements signed between the Chinese government and the governments of other countries, they are visa free personnel

根据中国政府与其他国家政府签订的互免签证协议，属于免办签证人员的

(2)Holding a valid Alien Residence Certificate

(3)An aircraft, ship or train carrying a connecting passenger ticket on an international voyage transits from China to a third country or region, stays in China for no more than 24 hours and does not leave the port, or stays in a specific area approved by the State Council for no more than the specified time limit

（三）持联程客票搭乘国际航行的航空器、船舶、列车从中国过境前往第三国或者地区，在中国境内停留不超过二十四小时且不离开口岸，或者在国务院批准的特定区域内停留不超过规定时限的

*According to the bilateral agreements or agreements signed or reached between China and relevant countries, people from some countries who meet specific conditions may be exempted from visa.

*根据中国与有关国家签署或达成的双边协定或协议，部分国家符合特定条件人员来华可免办签证。

According to the visa free agreement between China and foreign countries, as of May 2, 2019, citizens of 14 countries can travel to China with ordinary passports without applying for visas in advance.

根据中国与外国互免签证协定，截至2019年5月2日，共有14个国家的公民可无需事先申请签证，持普通护照。

However, visa free entry does not mean indefinite stay or residence. According to the requirements of the agreement, after entering the country without visa with a customs passport, it is generally allowed to stay for no more than 30 days.

不过，免签入境并不等于无限期停留或居住。根据协定要求，持有关护照免签入境后，一般只允许停留不超过30日。

If the licensee needs to stay for more than 30 days, he shall apply for stopping residence locally as soon as possible.

持照人如需停留30 日以上，应按要求尽快在当地申请办理停居留手续。

Visa free residence certificate

居留证件免签

(1)Foreigners with valid residence certificates can stay in China and enter and exit China for many times within the validity period of their residence certificates, and there is no need to apply for a separate visa.

*（一）持有效居留证件的外国人，在居留证件有效期内可在华居留并多次出入境，无需另行办理签证。

(2)Those who hold valid permanent residence identity cards of foreigners of the people's Republic of China can stay in China and enter and exit China for many times without applying for a separate visa.

持有效中华人民共和国外国人永久居留身份证者，可在华居留并多次出入境，无需另行办理签证。

Transit visa free

过境免签

Transit visa free means that foreigners who transit from China to a third country on international flights, ships and trains with connecting passenger tickets, stay in China for no more than 24 hours and do not leave the port can be exempted from visa.

过境免签是指持联程客票搭乘国际航班、船舶、列车从中国过境前往第三国，在中国境内停留不超过二十四小时且不离开口岸的外国人，可以免办签证。

Renhe, a little boy from South Korea, bought a connecting ticket from Russia to Hulunbuir, China to South Korea. He can fly directly from Hulunbuir Hailar International Airport to South Korea through the 24-hour transit visa free policy without applying for a Chinese visa in advance!

韩国小男孩仁赫购买好从俄罗斯过境中国呼伦贝尔前往韩国的联程客票，他可以不用提前申请中国签证，而通过24小时过境免签政策，就直接从呼伦贝尔海拉尔国际机场飞往韩国啦！

At present, in addition to the 24-hour visa free transit at ports, China also implements the 72 / 144 hour visa free transit policy for citizens of 53 countries at open ports in Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chongqing, Shijiazhuang, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Shenyang, Chengdu, Kunming, Xiamen, Wuhan and other cities.

当前中国除24小时口岸过境免签外，还对53个国家公民在北京、上海、天津、广州、深圳、重庆、石家庄、杭州、南京、沈阳、成都、昆明、厦门、武汉等多个城市的对外开放口岸实施72/144小时过境免签政策。

(1)Holders of valid apec business travel card.

持有效APEC商务旅行卡者。

Apec business travel card is equivalent to multiple visas for 5 years. Cardholders can enter China multiple times within the validity period of the travel card, and each stay time shall not exceed 60 days at most.

APEC商务旅行卡相当于5年多次签证，持卡人在旅行卡有效期内可多次进入中国境内，每次停留时间最多不超过60天。

(2)Citizens holding ordinary passports from 59 countries such as Russia and the United Kingdom are received by travel agencies established in Hainan. They can enter Hainan without visas from Hainan's open ports and stay in the administrative region of Hainan Province for 30 days. See how cool this trip is!

持俄罗斯、英国等59个国家普通护照的公民，由在海南设立的旅行社接待，可从海南对外开放口岸免办签证入境，在海南省行政区域内停留30天。这样旅行到底有多爽，看这里！

(3)Foreigners holding ordinary passports of countries that have established diplomatic relations with China who have been in Hong Kong and Macao enter the Pearl River Delta region of Guangdong through travel agencies legally registered in Hong Kong and Macao (referring to the administrative regions under the jurisdiction of Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, Zhaoqing and Huizhou) and staying for no more than 6 days can be exempted from visa. If the above groups travel directly from Shantou and the scope of activities does not exceed the administrative region of Shantou, the above policies also apply.

持与中国建交国家的普通护照已在香港、澳门的外国人，经在香港、澳门合法注册的旅行社组团进入广东珠江三角洲地区（指广州、深圳、珠海、佛山、东莞、中山、江门、肇庆、惠州市所辖行政区）旅游，且停留不超过6天，可免办签证。上述团组赴汕头旅游，如直接从汕头出境，活动范围不超出汕头行政区域的，也适用上述政策。

（4） The 10 ASEAN tourist groups (2 or more people) are organized and received by the tourism agency with the qualification approved by the competent Tourism Department of Guilin, Guangxi. The whole group can enter and leave the country from Guilin airport port without visa and stay in Guilin administrative region for no more than 6 days.

（四）东盟10国旅游团（2人及以上），由广西桂林市旅游主管部门资质审定的旅游社组织接待，从桂林机场口岸整团入出境，可免办签证在桂林市行政区停留不超过6日。

(5) people who have ordinary passports from Singapore, Brunei and Japan have been traveling to mainland China, business, visiting relatives or friends or crossing the border for more than 15 days. Visa free entry is allowed when Chinese mainland ports are open to foreigners.

（五）新加坡、文莱、日本三国持普通护照的公民来中国大陆旅游、经商、探亲访友或过境不超过15天者，从中国对外国人开放口岸入境时，可免办签证。
