24 solar terms
1. 立春 Start（Beginning） of Spring
立春，是二十四节气中的第一个节气，在中国民间被作为春季开始的日子。
The beginning of spring, the first one of the 24 solar terms, is regarded as the beginning of spring by the Chinese folks.
2. 雨水 The Rains
此时气温回升，冰雪融化，降水增多，故取名雨水。
At this time, the temperature rises, ice and snow melt, the rain increases, so named The Rains.
3.惊蛰 Insects Awaken
冬眠的虫子醒了。
Dormient insects awaken.
4.春分 Spring Equinox
当太阳中心横过赤道之时，便是春分。
The Spring Equinox, however, occurs when the center of the sun crosses the Equator.
5.清明 Clear and Bright
二十四节气之第五节气，在4月4日或5日；表示天气晴朗温暖，草木返青。
The fifth one of the 24 solar terms, it is on April 4 or 5, it means that the plants turn green.
6.谷雨 Grain Rain
谷雨：降雨明显增长，促使谷类作物生长发育。
Grain rain: Rainfall increases obviously and impels cereal crops to grow.
7.立夏 Start（Beginning） of Summer
立夏意味着夏季的开始。
It means the beginning of summer.
8.小满 Grain Buds
小满表示在夏季成熟的农作物籽粒开始饱满了。
The Grain Buds shows that crops that will ripen in summer start to show plump seeds.
9.芒种 Grain in Ear
芒种，是麦类等有芒作物成熟的意思。
Grain in Ear, is a Mount crops such as wheat mature meaning.
10.夏至 the Summer Solstice
夏至是夏天正式开始的第一天，也是一年之中时间最长的一天。
The summer solstice is the first official day of summer and the longest day of the year.
11.小暑 Slight Heat
小暑意味着天气开始炎热。
The Slight Heat means that it's getting hot.
12.大暑 Great Heat
大暑期间的日照、高温及强降雨有利于农作物的生长。
During Great Heat, the sunshine, high temperatures, and heavy rainfall are good for agricultural crops.
13.立秋Start（Beginning） of Autumn
立秋是凉爽季节的开始。
Start of Autumn is the beginning of cool season.
14.处暑 the End of Heat
处暑表示炎热的夏季就过去了。
The End of Heat shows that scorching summer days will soon be gone.
15.白露 White Dews
从白露这天开始，露珠越来越多。
From the first day of the White dew on, there are more and more dews.
16.秋分 Autumn Equinox
春分秋分，日夜平分
In spring equinox and autumnal equinox, the length of day and night are equal.
17.寒露 Cold Dews
寒露：露水以寒，将要结冰。
Cold Dews: The dews are gonna freeze.
18.霜降 Hoar-frost falls / Frost's Descent
在霜降期间，开始出现霜冻。
During frost's Descent, frost begins to appear.
19.立冬 Start（Beginning） of Winter
“立冬”意味着冬天的到来，秋季丰收的作物全部收藏入库，是冬季的第一个节气。

20.小雪 Light Snow
小雪，表示开始降雪，雪量小。
Light Snow means the beginning of snow and the amount of snow is light.
21.大雪 Heavy Snow
大雪：降雪量增多，地面可能积雪。
Heavy snow: More snow falls, the ground may be covered with snow.
22.冬至 Winter Solstice
冬至在北半球是一年里最短的一天，同时也标志着冬天正式开始。
Winter solstice is the shortest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere and marks the official beginning of winter.
23.小寒 Slight Cold
小寒：气候开始寒冷。
Slight cold: The climate is getting colder.
