新冠病毒以来，甩锅背锅又成为热门词汇。
说实话，我对政治不了解，但我觉得trump在防疫上的处理，真心诠释了什么是真小人，还是特别低级的那种，大大突破我的认识。
言归正传，甩锅背锅中的“锅”，是“责任（responsibility，liability，duty，blame，trust）”的意思，甩锅是推卸责任，背锅有替人受罪的意思。这两个词都有很多种表述方式。
甩锅
1 pass buck to
美联社AP, 2020-4-17 文章标题：
Analysis: With New Virus Plan, Trump Passes Buck to States | Political News | US News
这里用的版就是 pass buck to ………… 川普甩锅给(下面的)州。
美国总统杜鲁门在办公桌上放了一个纪念物，上面写着”The Buck Stops Here”， 意味着锅甩到我这里为止。
这段往事前一段时间又被提起，和特朗普对比。特朗普是甩锅大师, “The Buck Never Stops Here”
2 shift the blame
美联社AP这篇文章内容容中，也用到了：
But he did it in a way that also pushes responsibility to the states, giving him a way to shift the blame if things go badly.

背锅
1 scapegoat
scapegoat 是一个名词，“替罪羊”。
这只羊是打《圣经》里来的。（来头还挺大！）
上帝为了考验Abraham亚伯拉罕，让他把他心爱的儿子以撒Isaac（他和她妻子生的孩子，前面还有一个是亚伯拉罕和他女奴生的孩子以实玛利Ishmael）献祭给上帝。
亚伯拉罕正要杀以撒的时候，天使出来了，说“上帝已经知道你忠诚了，你去前面林子里面，把那只羊取来杀了行了”。
然后亚伯拉罕热泪盈眶跑去杀羊。羊：“我特么惹谁了？”然后….羊就光荣地成了背锅侠。
所以，现在背锅，喜欢用scapegoat，替罪羊。
通常就是搭配“be made scapegoat for”，被动语态更能体现出“被动性”，因为很多时候背锅是一种无奈。
例如：
She was made scapegoat for her boss.
她为她的老板背锅。
2 take blame for somebody.
例如：
It wasn’t his fault, he just took the blame for his manager.
这不是他的错，他只是给他的经理背黑锅。
He just took the blame for his manager.
他只是替他的经理背黑锅。
3 take the rap (for sb/sth)
相信大家都很熟悉rap这个单词。它除了有说唱音乐的意思，还表示不公平的判决（an unfair judgement on sth or sb），即黑锅。
所以，take the rap (for sb/sth) 表示背黑锅，无辜受罚：
She was prepared to take the rap for the shoplifting, though it had been her sister’s idea.
尽管在商店偷东西是她妹妹的主意，可她甘愿为此受罚。（这tm是什么例句，偷东西还无辜？）
4 hold the bag
黑锅，字面意思就是black pan。
例句：我不会给他背黑锅
先说错误的表达：
I don’t carry the black pan for him.
注意，这是错误的，千万不要这样说哦↑
其实，英文里面，黑锅有个叫法叫bag（包包）,所以，这句话正确的表达↓
I won’t hold the bag for him.
我不会给他背锅。
这里的bag相当于blame或responsibility，所以短语hold the bag指“代人受过”，与我们的“背黑锅”意思相同。
5 take the fall
I took the fall for him.
我为他背锅。
